Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrators is a family of purpose-built, remote access Virtual Private Network (VPN) platforms and client software that incorporates high availability, high performance and scalability with the most advanced encryption and authentication techniques available today. Supported connectivity mechanisms include IPSec and WebVPN (Clientless SSL Web browser-based connectivity).
With the Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrator, customers can take advantage of the latest VPN technology to vastly reduce their communications expenditures. Unique to the industry, it is the only scalable platform to offer field-swappable and customer-upgradeable components. These components, called Scalable Encryption Processing (SEP) modules, enable users to easily add capacity and throughput.
Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrators include models to support a range of enterprise customers, from small businesses with 100 or fewer remote access users to large organizations with up to 10,000 simultaneous remote users.
With all versions of the Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrator, the Cisco VPN Client is provided at no additional charge and includes unlimited distribution licensing. WebVPN (Clientless VPN) is provided with no additional licensing fees and enables access to critical enterprise applications including Web pages, file shares, e-mail, and TCP-based applications such as Telnet and Secure SHell (SSH). Granular access control and logging is available for WebVPN users.
The Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrator is available in both non-redundant and redundant configurations, allowing customers to build the most robust, reliable and cost-effective networks possible.
